1948 : Naissance du premier Club francophone \u00e0 Cornwall<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 Cornwall, le Club Richelieu a vu le jour en 1948 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la vision de quelques personnes d\u2019affaires. Parrain\u00e9 par le club Long-Sault de Hawkesbury. Alfred Lefebvre avec quatre de ses coll\u00e8gues, soit Edward Marleau, Omer L\u00e9ger, Nelson Laframboise et Laurier Courville, \u00e9tablissaient les assises du 23rd<\/sup> Club de la cha\u00eene le 11 octobre 1948.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les premi\u00e8res rencontres ont eu lieu \u00e0 l’ancien H\u00f4tel Royal. C\u2019\u00e9tait non seulement le d\u00e9but d\u2019un rassemblement d\u2019hommes d\u2019affaires francophones, mais l\u2019arriv\u00e9e du premier club enti\u00e8rement d\u2019expression fran\u00e7aise \u00e0 Cornwall.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Le Club Richelieu doit son nom au courage d\u2019une grande dame<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

 The name Richelieu International traces its origins to La Maison Richelieu, the first charitable institution established in North America for the orphans of soldiers and settlers. At the request of Cardinal Richelieu, his niece, the Duchess of Aiguillon, founded this institution and committed to maintaining it with her own personal funds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1665, La Maison Richelieu became a hospital that would eventually be named the H\u00f4tel-Dieu de Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name Richelieu was therefore a most fitting choice for an organization whose mission is dedicated to helping children and youth. (RI)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Richelieu International Foundation<\/strong>l<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Born from the desire and determination of Richelieu International<\/a> de se doter de moyens plus efficaces pour venir en aide \u00e0 la jeunesse, la Fondation Richelieu-International fut cr\u00e9\u00e9e le 30\u00a0ao\u00fbt\u00a01977 \u00e0 Ottawa. Sa cr\u00e9ation marquait l\u2019aboutissement de plus de dix ans de r\u00e9flexions et de discussions en comit\u00e9s et en assembl\u00e9es g\u00e9n\u00e9rales du Richelieu International \u00e0 la suite du projet soumis par le Club Richelieu\u00a0Trois-Rivi\u00e8res en\u00a01966. La devise choisie pour la Fondation est \u00ab\u00a0S\u2019unir pour aider\u00a0<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
