For nearly 50 years, Gaëtan Lalonde has been a steadfast force of generosity and leadership in Cornwall. In a time when service clubs across Canada face dwindling membership, Club Richelieu Cornwall has recognized Lalonde’s enduring commitment to community service.

Since joining in 1975, Lalonde has led countless initiatives, from annual fundraising drives and Christmas food campaigns to school-based projects helping children both locally and abroad. He also served as Club Vice-President and President, encouraging others to take up the mantle of service.

“Gaëtan represents the very essence of the Richelieu mission,” said board member Diane Pilon. “Through his humility and commitment, he has inspired generations to serve with compassion and purpose.”

Lalonde’s contributions have earned praise from Mayor Justin Towndale, MPP Nolan Quinn, MP Eric Duncan, and Prime Minister Mark Carney. Their messages acknowledged not only his impact but also the example he sets for others.

By celebrating Gaëtan Lalonde, the Richelieu Club hopes to spark renewed interest in community service and inspire a new generation to get involved.

As a service club, the Club Richelieu invests in our youth. Needless to say, this investment requires funds that it receives from individuals, companies and organizations.
